Our Story

Essential Church was birthed out of The Crossroads Church in New Port Richey, FL in 2020.  The moment Pastor Joe Allotta became the second pastor of the church he realized they couldn't afford the building they were in.  We all just eventually got fed up with spending soooo much money on a building.  That money could be used for better purposes.  So at the start of 2020, the church met, and we determined to change the narrative.

Once the COVID-19 hit, we were even more determined to do things differently.  All churches got stripped-down to their bare bones, but we  just got a clearer vision of what we wanted to be - a church unencumbered with a crazy mortgage or high rent payment that could be a great steward of the money, people, and resources entrusted to us.  The name Essential Church was born.  Church is essential, and all we wanted to do was just the essentials of what made church... church!

So we utilize whatever space we need.  We regularly talk about local area ministries we want to support with our time and finances.  We support missionaries both here in our Jerusalem and Judea, and those in the utter most parts of the earth.  Our church is constantly adjusting and improving as God brings new people our way.  We would love to get to know you and see how you might fit into this mission God is doing with us.
